JULES BRICKEN

A private memorial service for Jules Bricken of Larkspur, a retired film director and producer, will be held at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale, N.Y. Mr. Bricken died of cancer at home on Friday, Dec. 18, 1987. He was 72.

Mr. Bricken was born in New York City.

He graduated from Harvard University and served in the armed forces during World War II.

He was a film director and producer at Columbia Pictures for more than 30 years.

He was a charter member of the North Lake Tahoe Symphony Association, a member of the North Lake Tahoe Fine Arts Council, and a former director of the Reno Chamber Orchestra.

Mr. Bricken is survived by his wife, Loretta Beckman Carr-Bricken; two sons, Charles Bricken of Virginia and Alexander Bricken of Berkeley; and three brothers, Emile Stoloff and Robert Bricken, both of New York City, and Irving Bricken of Santa Barbara.

His family asked that memorial contributions go to the San Francisco Symphony Foundation, Davies Hall, San Francisco, 94102.
