GEORGE J. BULLIS, Ex-Marinite, Dies
George John Bullis, who lived 32 years in San Rafael before moving to Sacramento, died yesterday after several months hospitalization. He was 78.
He was a conductor for Northwestern Pacific Railroad here and made his home at 15 G street. He moved to Sacramento in 1941 and was a switchman for Western Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 1953.
Bullis came to California in 1906 from Minneapolis, working in the lumber business in Humboldt County several years before coming here.
He leaves a widow, Peggy of Sacramento; a daughter and son, Mrs. Evelyn I. Desimone and Chester G. Bullis, five grandchildren and a great-grandson, all of San Rafael.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at N. G. Culjis Funeral Home in Sacramento. Inurnment will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
