MARY G. McGILL
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Friday at Our Lady of Loretto Church for Mary G. McGill.
Mrs. McGill died Thursday at a local convalescent hospital at the age of 77.
She was a native of New York state and grew up there, moving to Connecticut as a teenager. She spent most of her life in Connecticut where she was active in the Democratic Party and served as a delegate to Democratic political conventions.
She worked for Bell Telephone Co. as an operator for 40 years.
About six years ago she and her husband, George F. McGill, moved to Petaluma and recently to Novato where they made their home at 12 Santana Road.
Before retirement her husband was business manager of the Connecticut Veterans Home and Hospital.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Barbara Solve of Novato and Dorothy Jarzabek of Shreveport, La.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial was at Bahia Valley Memorial Park.
