FRANK BACCARO
Private family services have been held at Redwood Chapel for Frank P. Baccaro, 74, who died Sunday at a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness.
Baccaro, former manager for the Octopus restaurant here, was a native of Italy and came to the United States at the age of 11. He spent most of his adult life in San Francisco and moved to Novato three years ago.
He had been in the restaurant business most of his life and owned several restaurants before going to work for the Octopus.
He was a member of the Golden Gate Sparanza Lodge No. 30, Free and Accepted Masons of San Francisco and the Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1198.
Surviving are a son, Albert P. Sollini of Fort Bragg; a daughter, Louise Vilner of Novato; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Inurnment was at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are preferred by the family.
