ALBERT BARRETTE
Memorial services are pending for Albert J. Barrette who died Thursday in a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 80.
Barrette, who made his home at 108 Harbor Drive in Black Point, was a retired chauffeur who had worked many years for San Franciscans. He had lived in Black Point for the past 12 years.
Barrette was a native of Canada and also lived in Portland before moving to the Bay area 48 years ago. His wife, Jane, preceded him in death.
He was a member of Local 265 of the Chauffeurs Union and also was a veteran of World War I, serving with the American Army.
Surviving are his daughter, Lilyan Hall of Novato, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin, P.O. Box 72, Kentfield, are preferred by the family.
