Death Takes Arthur Sands
Arthur Sands, a well known local boy, passed away at his home here this morning after a long illness. Members of his family and his close friends had expected death to occur at any time in the recent past. He was afflicted with tuberculosis.
The funeral will take place at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Raphael’s church, to where the body will be removed from Sawyer’s parlors.
The deceased was 40 years of age. He had resided all his life in San Rafael and had been employed by many local business concerns. He was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Sands, the brother of Mrs. Ed. DeMetz, George W., Edward and the late Robert Sands, Jr. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
