IRENE H. HEIFNER
Funeral was held yesterday at the Parent Mortuary in Petaluma for Irene H. Heifner, former Novato resident, who died in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 56.
A native of Minnesota, Mrs. Heifner grew up thee then came to California in 1942 and settled in Novato. She lived here until about five years ago when she and her husband, David Heifner, moved to Petaluma.
Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Dennis Z. Heifner of Windsor, Larry D. Heifner and Alan Heifner, both of Petaluma; two daughters, Evelyn R. Dempsey of Polk, Fla., and Joyce I. Clark of Petaluma.
Also, her parents, Nels and Mable Johnson of Orland, Glenn County; three sisters, Lois Crooks of Lake Benton, Minn., Doris Yates of Rohnert Park and Carrol Turek of Novato; five brothers, Buriel Johnson of Sacramento, Leslie Johnson and Alton Johnson, both of Orland, Richard Johnson of Sunnyvale, and Wayne Johnson of Pipestone, Minn., and six grandchildren.
Burial was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma
