MERVIN CHAMBERS
Funeral was held yesterday at the Sorensen Funeral Home in Petaluma for Mervin S. Chambers, former electrician for Hamilton Air Force Base from 1941 until his retirement in 1973.
Chambers died Saturday at a local hospital at the age of 65.
A native of Mendocino, he and his wife, Vada Moore Chambers had lived in Petaluma for the past 26 years.
Also surviving are a son, Gerald Chambers of Sacramento; two daughters, Judith Tomlinson of Sacramento and Janke Kibler of Petaluma; a brother, John Chambers of San Rafael; and nine grandchildren.
Burial was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma. Memorial contributions to a favorite charity are preferred by the family.
