JAMES A. TOSO
A Mass of Christian Burial for James A. Toso of San Rafael will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Isabella’s Church in Terra Linda.
Toso, who moved to Marin a year ago from San Francisco, died Thursday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Toso was a native of Italy. He came to the United States when he was 12.
He worked for 40 years as an inventory control manager of the American Optical Company in San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Toso of San Rafael; a daughter, Valerie Lucchesi of San Rafael; three sons, Robert Toso of Corte Madera, James Toso Jr. of Novato and Ronald Toso of Novato; two sisters, Marie Toso and Adelaide Vezzali; and 11 grandchildren.
Toso was active with the Danti Council Knights of Columbus.
The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
