HAROLD GILBERT
A funeral for Harold (Hal) Gilbert, a local real estate salesman and resident of San Rafael, was held today at 2 p.m. in San Rafael.
Gilbert died Sunday in a local hospital following a long illness. He was 82 year old.
A native of Gilbertsville, Pa., Gilbert lived in Marin County since 1962. He moved to the Bay Area in 1917 and received his real estate salesman’s license in 1923. He had worked as a broker in the area since then. In 1972, he was appointed manager of general real estate activities for James Realty of San Rafael. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the American Legion.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Olive Gilbert; a sister, Grace Ringer of Philadelphia, Pa.; a granddaughter, Katherine Gilbert of Oakland; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson of Oakland.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial was private. The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
