HELEN ROWNTREE
Funeral was to be held today in Columbus, Ohio, for Helen L. Rowntree, a former 33-year resident of Mill Valley.
Mrs. Rowntree died in a Hartford City, Ind. Hospital Wednesday. She was 86.
Mrs. Rowntree moved from Marin earlier this year to be with her daughter, Mary Jane Mecklenburg of Hartford City.
Mrs. Rowntree was last employed in the personnel department of a San Francisco insurance firm.
Mrs. Rowntree’s husband, Joseph R. Rowntree, a fire inspector for a San Francisco insurance company, died last year.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Rowntree is survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
