MANUEL SILVA
Funeral was today for Manuel Pacheco Silva, father of Mary Shields of Novato and a dairy farmer in Mendocino County for 35 years.
Silva died Friday in Sacramento. He was 87.
He was born in the Azores Islands. After retiring from his dairy in 1943, Silva had moved to Sacramento.
Silva leaves his wife, Alice V. Silva of Sacramento; another daughter, Alice Lemos of Fairfield; a son, Ernest E. Silva of Los Banos; two sisters, Rose De Figueredo of Providence, R.I., and Clara Mello of Turlock; a brother, Joe Silva of Fremont; and seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Entombment was at East Lawn Southgate Mausoleum, Sacramento.
