HARRIET A. SCOTT
A funeral for Harriet A. Scott, 83, a 30-year resident of Marin, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Mill Valley. She died Saturday in Mill Valley.
Mrs. Scott was born on Maui in Hawaii in 1894. She married the late Stanley E. Scott of San Rafael there and moved to California in 1942.
She joined the Mill Valley Seniors in 1970 and was nominated for the Outstanding Senior citizen of Marin Award in 1974. She handled floral arrangements for the Mill Valley Seniors group for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Troup of Stockton and Henrietta Hudson of San Rafael; two sons, Norman Scott and Stanley E. Scott, both of Hawaii; three sisters, Laura Water of Mill Valley and Alice and Mary Char, both of Hawaii; a brother, Anthony Tan of Hawaii; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. Burial will be at Iao Cemetery, Maui, Hawaii.
