BARBARA RIGGIN
A memorial service for Barbara O’Neil Riggin of Novato will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Redwood Chapel Funeral Home in Novato.
Mrs. Riggin died Saturday in a fire at her home. She was 54.
Mrs. Riggin was born in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Riggin was an avid gardener and had a greenhouse full of bromeliads and lithops. She was a member of the National Bromeliad Society.
Mrs. Riggin also had a large stamp collection and was interested in needlepoint and rock paintings.
Mrs. Riggin’s husband of 37 years, Lt. Col. Francis D. Riggin, USAF ret., escaped the fire with minor facial burns.
Mrs. Riggin is also survived by two daughters, Stephanie Riggin of Larkspur and Kathleen Pappo of Palos Verdes; a son, F. Darryl Riggin of Novato; a sister, Juanita Peed of Rosemead, Los Angeles County; and a brother, Jack O’Neil of South San Gabriel.
Cremation arrangements are pending.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte, Calif.
