CHARLES McCONNELL

Charles McConnell, longtime Marin dairyman, died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 89.

A native of Ireland, McConnell came to the United States in the early 1900s settling first in Philadelphia. He moved to California a few years later and established a dairy ranch in Inverness in the 1920s.

After operating the ranch there for many years, he sold the land and bought a new ranch on Fallon Road in the Bloomfield area. He was the husband of the late Josephine McConnell.

There are no immediate survivors.

Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. Private entombment will be in Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
