JOHN ELPHICK, Bolinas, Follows Wife To Grave

The funeral of John Elphick, for half a century a resident of Bolinas, will be held this morning at 10:30 at the Sawyer Undertaking Parlors, under the direction of H. V. Joyaux of Sebastopol.

Mr. Elphick died Tuesday at the County Hospital, where he had gone a few days before for special treatment by Dr. J. H. Kuser. He was 72 years of age and had been ill for some time. The deceased had been failing steadily since the sad death of his wife a year ago. Mrs. Ellen Elphick died as the result of burns received when her clothing caught fire from a stove. The aged couple had lived together for nearly fifty years.

The deceased leaves a nephew, James Elphick, who recently disposed of his undertaking business in Sebastopol to Mr. Joyaux. The remains will be taken immediately after the funeral to the Mt. Olivet cemetery in San Mateo for cremation.
