EDWARD STAHL Takes Life At Sausalito
Despondent from ill health, Edward Stahl, well known resident of Sausalito, committed suicide yesterday at his home by firing a bullet into his head. The tragedy occurred at the Stahl home, where the unfortunate man lived alone, his wife having been dead for many years.
Stahl of late years has been engaged in business as a contractor and builder. He was 65 years of age. In the early ‘70’s he was the manager of the Winter Gardens in San Francisco. After he came to Sausalito he took the management of the Wildwood Glen picnic grounds.
For the past three or four days Stahl had been heard to complain of his illness. This is assigned as a reason for the rash act.
Coroner Sawyer took charge of the body, and arrangements for the funeral will be made today.
