JAY J. BABCOCK
Funeral for Jay J. Babcock of Novato, a retired federal accountant, will be held in Billings, Mont.
Babcock, 87, died Sunday at a local convalescent hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Seattle, he was reared in Bridger, Mont. He worked in Montana as a railroad agent and in banking and accounting until 1942 when he joined the General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C., as an accountant.
He moved to Novato on retirement in 1959.
Surviving are his wife, Anna S. Babcock of Novato; a daughter, Anna Maude Babcock of Novato; a granddaughter, and four great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Bridger Cemetery, Bridger, Mont.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the father of the late William Henry Babcock. He was the grandfather of Billie Joe Harper of Montana.
