ELVA A. AIROLDI
Elva A. Airoldi, who had lived in Marin for the last 14 years, died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness. She was 96.
A native of Switzerland, Mrs. Airoldi came to the United States when she was 13 and settled in Napa. She later moved to San Francisco and then to Kentfield.
Mrs. Airoldi was a homemaker. Her husband, Joseph Airoldi, a housepainter, died in 1954.
She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Harrison of Kentfield, a sister, Florini Minni of Roveredo, Switzerland, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Private family services will be held at St. Sebastian’s Church in Greenbrae. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma or a favorite charity.
