DEWEY FRAKES

Funeral will be tomorrow for Dewey E. Frakes of Novato at 10 a.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin Mortuary in Novato.

Frakes died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 79.

Frakes came to Marin from Missouri 10 months ago. A native of Missouri, Frakes worked as a cattle broker in the Kansas City stockyards for more than 50 years.

He was a member of Temple Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Kansas City, Mo. For 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Violet Frakes of Novato; a son, Donald Frakes of Novato; a daughter, Ruby Frakes of Richmond, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Bahia Valley Memorial Park, Novato.
