WILLIAM H. SALISBURY
Funeral services for William H. Salisbury of San Rafael will be private.
Salisbury, 70, died Saturday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness.
The Ohio native was a radio announcer and music store clerk in Idaho, Utah and San Diego for 35 years. He played the piano, organ and accordian in various bands and taught accordian. After he retired eight years ago, he moved to Marin County. He was active in Whistlestop, the senior citizens’ center in San Rafael.
His wife, Verla, died in 1971.
He is survived by a daughter, Lucille Hodgen of San Rafael; a son, Glen W. Walker of Concord; two brothers, Harold E. Salisbury of Alhambra and Austin J. Salisbury of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends can visit until 9 p.m. today at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. The family prefers memorial contributions to Marin Senior Coordinating Council, 930 Tamalpais Avenue, San Rafael.
