JAMES B. O’TOOLE
James B. O’Toole, former Terra Linda resident, died yesterday in a Santa Rosa convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 63.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he moved to New York City after his marriage in 1944 to the former Cecelia Deragon.
He lived there until 1964, when he was transferred to the San Francisco office of Martin E. Segal and Co., an investment and brokerage firm. O’Toole was an account executive for pension plan accounts.
O’Toole retired in 1974 and became a counselor for the National Council on Alcoholism in Marin. He lived in Terra Linda until moving to Rohnert Park last January.
In addition to his wife, he survived by a son, Terence O’Toole of Honolulu; a brother, the Rev. Charles O’Toole of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mary Rist of Fairfield, Conn.; and a granddaughter.
Private funeral was held today in Petaluma. Inurnment was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society.
