EDITH RICHARDSON
Friends in Marin have learned of the death of Edith M. Richardson, a longtime San Rafael resident who died July 24 in Shelton, Wash.
Mrs. Richardson, 88, moved to Washington three years ago to be with relatives. She died in a convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Freeport, Ill., in 1889. She ran a pharmacy in San Luis Obispo with her husband, Walter. When he died, she moved to San Rafael, where she lived for 22 years. She was a member of the San Rafael Presbyterian Church and was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Donald Richardson of San Rafael; two sisters, Mabel Chase of Seattle, Wash., and Mildred Kelly of Coos Bay., Ore.; a brother, Harry Brown of Des Moines, Wash.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have already been held in Washington.
