JOSEPHINE KIERTANIS

Funeral was held today for Josephine E. Kiertanis of San Rafael, a retired stenographer and 26-year resident of Marin.

Mrs. Kiertanis, 56, died Sunday in a local hospital following a long illness.

She was born in Pennsylvania and amoved to California 26 years ago.

Mrs. Kiertanis worked as a stenographer for the Air Force.

Her husband, Alexander Kiertanis, is a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air Force.

She was an avid cook whose specialties included Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine.

Mrs. Kiertanis is survived by her husband.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the sister-in-law of Gertrude Kiertanis.
