EVELYN S. SOARES
A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn S. Soares of Novato has been held at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
Mrs. Soares, 84, died Friday in a local hospital after a brief illness.
A native of San Francisco, she had lived in Marin most recently for five years as a resident of the Novato Estates Retirement Home. She lived in San Anselmo from 1960 to1 967.
She also had lived in San Francisco and Southern California.
She worked as a secretary for many years in San Francisco for several firms, including the W. R. Grace Co.
She is survived by several cousins, including William Haley of Novato.
Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
