Stroke Fatal To Man At Auto Wheel

An automobile accident which was fatal to one man and caused injury to four other persons occurred last Friday night when a machine driven by William Lehn So. (sic) of Forestville went over the bank on St. Vincent’s Hill.

The injured were brought to San Rafael, four of them receiving treatment at the Emergency Hospital and Lehn being taken to the Cottage Hospital. Lehn died shortly after midnight. An autopsy performed by Dr. J. H. Kuser revealed that death was caused by apoplexy, although the man had sustained two fractures of the right arm, a broken rib and severe lacerations of the scalp.

Mrs. Lehn is suffering from a broken thigh. The remaining members of the party, William Lehn Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Newman of Santa Rosa, received minor cuts and bruises.

The remains of the deceased, a well known vineyardist of Forestville, were removed from the F. E. Sawyer Parlors Sunday to Santa Rosa. Lehn was 55 years of age. Dr. C. B. Marston attended Lehn at the Cottage Hospital.
