AGNES C. CUNNINGHAM
Agnes C. Cunningham, mother of Mildred A. Moore of San Rafael and the widow of Leo A. Cunningham, former presiding judge of the San Francisco Municipal Court, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital following a brief illness. She was 83.
Mrs. Cunningham was a descendant of an old California family. Her grandfather, Pedro Vasquez, who settle in California soon after the Bear Flag revolt, was a prominent citizen of Sonoma in the early 1850s.
Mrs. Cunningham was born in Portland, Ore. But lived most of her life in San Francisco.
She was married in 1925.
Mrs. Cunningham was active in many charitable organizations and was a member of the Rosary Confraternity Society at St. Monica’s Church in San Francisco.
Besides Mrs. Moore, she is survived by three other children, Leo A. Cunningham Jr. of Daly City, Phillip P. Cunningham Jr. of San Francisco, Mary A. Patton of Sunnyvale,and a brother, Charles Dohoney of Seattle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock tonight at N. Gray and Company, Divisadero and Post streets, San Francisco, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church at 23rd Avenue and Geary Boulevard in San Francisco.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
