GERTRUDE DROBNY
Mass of Christian Burial for Gertrude J. Drobny, former librarian for Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato, will be held tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Drobny, 65, died Saturday at her home in Novato after a long illness.
Born and reared in Chicago, she lived in Vallejo and Sacramento before moving to Marin in 1957.
Besides serving in the library of her church, she was also coordinator of the Catholic Youth Organization there.
Her husband, George Drobny, is retired after serving as an engineer for the Air Force.
Also surviving are her three sons, Terrence Drobny of San Jose and Gary and Gerald Drobny of Novato, and her brother, Joseph Herek of Illinois.
Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. The family has asked that memorial gifts go to Hospice of Marin. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
