E. S. Ashworth, a guard at San Quentin since October, 1918, passed away Monday at Martinez, where he had been removed from the hospital at San Quentin while ill from pneumonia. Ashworth is survived by a widow, a married daughter, at whose home he died, and a son. He was a resident of Sacramento and for many years employed by the Southern Pacific.
