CARL FRANSEN
Funeral for Carl A. Fransen of San Rafael will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Fransen, a 23-year resident of San Rafael, died at his home Friday after a sudden illness. He was 55.
Fransen was born in San Francisco and lived there until 1954, when he moved to San Rafael.
He served with the Army in Europe during World War II.
Fransen was credit manager for Fireman’s Fund in San Francisco.
He is survived by a son, Eric Fransen of San Rafael; a daughter, Lori Fransen Ropp of San Rafael; a sister, Signe Wilson of San Francisco; and one grandchild. Fransen’s wife of 10 years, Shriely (sic) Jean Fransen, died three years ago.
Cremation will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contribution (sic) to a favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the same paper corrects the late Mrs. Fransen’s first name to Shirley, and adds that he was the brother of the late Ruth Manuel, grandfather of Deana Ropp, and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Buchwald.
