Rev. LEO W. HAMILTON
The Rev. Leo W. Hamilton, former minister of the Novato United Methodist Church, died yesterday in a Fresno hospital after a short illness.
He was 64.
A native of Illinois, Hamilton began his ministry in Nebraska in 1936. He came to California in 1940 and served various churches in California and Nevada. He served as minister in Novato from 1965 to 1970. He was honored last year for 40 years in the ministry, and retired in July.
He is survived by his wife, Veryl, of Kingsburg, Fresno County, and two daughters Donna Hamilton of Berkeley and Nancy Fickbohm of San Rafael.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursdy at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Kingsburg.
