GARRY DONHOFF
Garry Wayne Donhoff, former Mill Valley resident and leader with a religious group known as The Way International, died yesterday in a Lima, Ohio, hospital from injuries suffered in an auto accident Thursday.
Donhoff, 21, was born in Montebello, Los Angeles County, and moved with his family to Mill Valley in 1958.
After graduating from Tamalpais High School, he joined The Way International and became a branch leader in Springfield, Ohio. At the time of his death, he was a member of The Way Corps student body of The Way International Physical Research and Teaching Center in Ohio.
His father, John G. Donhoff, is a former editor of the Mill Valley Record and also was a campaign worker for former Gov. Edmund G. (Pat) Brown. He and Garry’s mother, Jill, now work as real estate salesmen for Mill Valley firms.
They live at 105 Seminary Drive in Strawberry.
Garry is also survived by a brother, John Jr.
Memorial services will be held simultaneously at the Way International headquarters in New Knoxville, Ohio, and in Oakland, on Sunday. The Oakland service will be at 2 p.m. in the Masonic Auditorium.
The family has asked that memorial gifts be made to The Way International.
