BEATRICE E. VERNON
Beatrice Elliott Vernon, widow of the chief engineer for the wartime Marinship in Sausalito, died yesterday in San Rafael after a brief illness. She was 85.
Mrs. Vernon was born in Toronto, Canada, and lived in the East and Midwest and also many years in San Marino in Los Angeles County, before returning to Marin two years ago.
She and her husband, the late Bruce Vernon, lived in Marin about eight years during the period of World War II.
She is survived by two sons, Willard E. and Ken Vernon, both of San Rafael, two granddaughteers, and a great-granddaughter.
