Man Takes Life In Despondency
Despondent over ill health resulting from an injury received a few days ago when he fell from a barn, Desiderio Albertoni, wealthy Petaluma poultryman, committed suicide yesterday in a bathroom at the Codoni ranch near Tocaloma by cutting his throat with a razor.
Albertoni, visiting for a few days at the Codoni ranch, was about to leave for San Francisco to seek special treatment for his injury, and was dressed for departure. Leaving the other occupants of the house suddenly he entered the bathroom. His prolonged absence aroused the suspicions of his relatives that something might have occurred, and they entered to find him in a dying condition. The remains were brought to San Rafael by Coroner J. Ray Keaton and later shipped to Petaluma for burial.
Albertoni was 49 years of age, and he is survived by a widow and five children.
