Former Local Merchant Dies In New Jersey

Word was received here from Westwood, New Jersey, of the death there last Thursday of Winfield H. Jones, who was proprietor here three years ago of the Racket Store, at the corner of Fourth and A streets.

He will be well remembered here as a kindly old gentleman who made many friends during his business life in San Rafael. He was 75 years of age. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Sarah Jones, and a daughter, Miss Carrie Jones. The funeral was held at the place of death last Saturday.
