Hiker Drops Dead Near Lagunitas
Warren Rummell, a civil engineer employed by the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, and a resident of San Francisco, dropped dead Tuesday on a trail in Lagunitas. He was carried several miles by members of his party after they had tried unsuccessfully to revive him.
Ahe (sic) Fairfax Edgar L. Reinhold, who carried Rummell’s body to that place, secured an automobile and had the remains taken to the Emergency Hospital here, where it was found that death had taken place some hours before. The body was then removed to the F. E. Sawyer parlors by Coroner J. Ray Keaton and arrangements made for its shipment to the home, 3877 Jackson street where Rummell lived with his sister, Mrs R. B. Wolcott. He was 35 years of age.
