MADELIENE AUSTIN
A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine J. Austin and her daughter, Madeliene Austin, both of San Rafael, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael.
Mrs. Austin, 75, died at home Friday after a lengthy illness. Miss Austin, 46, died Friday in a San Francisco hospital, shortly before she was scheduled to undergo open heart surgery.
The Austins moved to Marin County from Chicago in 1964. They lived first in San Anselmo and more recently in San Rafael. Mrs. Austin was the widow of the late Charles Austin, who died in Chicago.
Miss Austin formerly was office manager for a local automobile agency, and for a Mill Valley imports firm.
Mrs. Austin is survived by a sister, Lillian Leuterio of Mill Valley, and a son, Miss Austin’s brother, John Austin, of Ardmore, Pa., near Philadelphia.
The Rosary will be recited for mother and daughter at 8 p.m. today in Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
