THEODORE D. JONES
Funeral for Theodore Daniel Jones of Novato will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Novato.
Jones, who had lived in Novato two years, died Friday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 74.
Jones was born in Burley, Idaho, and lived there most of his life on a ranch he owned.
He moved in Bakersfield in 1952 after buying an intrastate trucking firm.
Jones retired to Twentynine Palms in San Bernardino County in 1962.
He was a member of the Idaho Fish and Gun Club and the Elks Lodge in Bakersfield.
He is survived by a daughter, Danalee Yeckl of Novato; a sister, June Hicker of El Monte, Los Angeles County; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Jones’ wife of 54 years, Iona Jones, died last year.
Visitation is at the Redwood Chapel Mortuary in Novato today. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper differs from the obituary by giving Mr. Jones’ sister’s name as June Hicka, and a death notice in the Aug. 29th paper gives it as June Hiker.
