FRANCIS FARLEY
Funeral for Francis Farley, a California highway patrolman in Marin County for 26 years was held yesterday in Medford, Oregon.
Farley, 75, died Thursday in a hospital in Ashland, Ore., after a short illness.
A native of Nicasio, Farley lived in the Bay Area until his retirement from the highway patrol 15 years ago when he moved to Talent, Ore.
He was a member of Fairfax Lodge 556 Free and Accepted Masons of Larkspur, Oregon Lodge 944 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Ashland, and the oldest life member of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen.
He is survived by his wife, Octavia Farley of Talent; two daughters, Shirley Coit of Sebastopol and Patricia Howerton of Petaluma; three sisters, Gladys Rogers of Petaluma, Teet Whehey of Vallejo and Lucille McMullen of Union Gap, Wash.; a brother, Lester Farley of Lake Shastince; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford, Oregon.
