AMANDA T. STEINKAMP

A memorial service will be held this morning for Amanda T. Steinkamp, a Novato resident, who died Sept. 18. She was 88.
Mrs. Steinkamp was a native of Ohio and worked as an accountant before she was married and raised a family. She was active in service organizations such as Girl Scouts, Federated Women’s Club, Newcomers Club, Friends & Companions, Novato Artists and Water Walkers.
She was also an active parishioner at St. Anthony’s parish. Her hobbies included ceramics, jewelry-making, sewing, crafts and painting. She enjoyed the symphony and ballet.
She is survived by her children, Dolores S. Pena of Novato, John Steinkamp of Oakland and Lucy Miller of Sutter Creek; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Novato.
