RICHARD W. MARTIN

Private funeral for attorney Richard W. Martin of San Rafael will be held tomorrow at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

Martin died Saturday at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 55.

Martin was born in Monterey Park and attended Loyola University in Los Angeles. He was an attorney with the Standard Oil Co. of California in San Francisco for 34 years.

He had lived at 137 Kinross Drive for eight years.

Martin was a member of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar Association and an Advocate Fellow of Loyola University and was qualified to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Martin of San Rafael; two daughters, Pamela Martin of San Francisco and Deborah Martin of San Rafael; two sons, Garrett Martin of Santa Maria and Daniel Martin of Long Beach; a brother, Daniel L. Martin of Anaheim; a sister, Marie Rogers of Long Beach; and one grandchild.

Burial will be at sea.

The family prefers contributions to the American Heart Fund.
