ARTHUR G ADLER
Private service was held today for Arthur G. Adler, a seven-year resident of San Rafael, who died Friday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness. He was 57.
Adler was born in Warren, Ariz., and lived many places before landing a job as a metallurgical engineer with Bechtel Corp. and moving to Marin seven years ago.
He lived the past five years at 692 Bamboo Terrace, San Rafael.
He was a member of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers.
Adler is survived by his wife of 24 years, Virginia Adler; three daughters, Carolyn Outlaw of Lakeland, Fla., Melinda Adler of Concord, and Penelope Adler of the family home; a son, Jason Adler of the family home; his mother, Hermine Adler of Elyria, Ohio, and a brother, Walter Adler of Elyria, Ohio.
Inurnment will be private. Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
