MANUEL JOSEPH
Funeral service for Manuel Joseph, a native of Marin County, and 60 year resident of San Rafael, will e at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.
Joseph died Friday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 71.
Joseph was born in Novato, but moved to San Rafael when he was 10 years old. He worked for Blake Brothers in Richmond for 20 years and for Shamrock Materials, San Rafael for 10 years. He retired in 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; three sons, Ernest of Upper Lake, Louie and Eugene, both of Petaluma; two daughters, Nancy Nunes of Sunnyvale and Josephine Jacobson of Pasco, Wash.; two brothers, Bert Joseph of Hayward and Joseph Joseph of San Rafael; three sisters, Mamie Azevedo of Santa Rosa, Dorothy Beard and Evelyn Franklin, both of San Rafael; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
