Novato
Fred Mahlstedt who passed away last Friday morning after chasing his cows from a neighbor’s yard was buried from his home last Monday. Rev. Chas. Christensen conducted the services and interment was at t he Novato cemetery. Mr. Mahlstedt is survived by his widow and brother, John. Many of Mrs. Mahlstedt’s relatives from Walnut Creek and Stockton attended the funeral. Mr. Mahlstedt has been a resident of Novato for several years and was well known in the community. The excitement of chasing his cows home is thought to have caused a heart attack which brought sudden death.
