Unexpected Death of Respected Citizen
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Congregational church for John D. Cozad, respected resident of San Rafael, who passed away at his home here last Friday after an illness of but a few days. Pneumonia was the cause of death.
For several years the deceased had been in the employ of the Marin Municipal Water District, the offices of which were closed the morning of the funeral services. His death was unexpected, as it had not been supposed by his many friends that his condition was critical.
The deceased is survived by his sorrowing widow and six children, Mrs. E. L. Longland, Edith Cozad, William and Ralph Cozad, of San Rafael; Mrs. Ella Pederson, of Fairfax and John Cozad, of San Francisco.
Burial was made in Mount Tamalpais cemetery under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Company.
