ROSE KNAUTH
Rose Tanner Kanuth (sic) of Belvedere, a 25-year resident of Marin, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was 59.
Mrs. Kanuth (sic) was born in Douglas, Ga. She attended Tift College in Forsyth, Ga., and was president of her graduating class.
Mrs. Kanuth (sic) was a homemaker.
She was a member of the California Historical Society, the Junior League of San Francisco, the San Francisco Symphony Association and the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Basil Kanuth (sic) of Belvedere; two daughters, Natalie Knauth MacLachlan of Seattle and Beryl Dixwell Knauth of Truckee, Nevada County; two brothers, Carl Tanner of Lafayette and Fredrich (sic) Tanner of Concord; a sister, Buff Massey of Conway, S.C., and two grandchildren.
Private services were to be held today. Inurnment was to be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin in Kentfield.
