JAY B. FORD
A private funeral for Jay Banbury Ford of San Rafael, retired Union Carbide executive, was held today.
Ford, who with his wife Beulah T. Ford, had lived at the Aldersly Danish Home since March 1976, died Friday after brief illness. He was 86.
He was born in Pasadena, a member of a pioneer Southern California family. He lived in Southern California much of his life. He was an Air Corps gunnery officer in World War I. He retired from Union Carbide in 1956, and became active in Sons in Retirement.
In addition to his wife, Ford is survived by one son, Jay Banbury Ford Jr. of Los Angeles, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena. The family prefers memorial contributions to any favorite charity.
