Raymond Lenci, 67
Owned boat company
A Mass of Christian Burial for boatbuilder Raymond Lenci of Fairfax will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Rita’s Church.
Lenci died unexpectedly Friday at his brother’s home in Sonoma. He was 67.
Born in San Francisco, he came to Marin in 1947. He and his brother Victor started the Trailorboat Co., an aluminum boat building firm.
The company was located on Market Street in San Rafael until 1973, when t he Lencis moved the business to Schellville in Sonoma County.
Lenci was an ardent bass fisherman on San Francisco Bay, as well as a duck hunter. He was a member of the Organ Club of Marin County and was active in Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball.
Lenci leaves his wife, Carolyn, a daughter, Virginia Main of Vista, a son, Anthony Lenci of Fairfax, a sister, Lois St. Clair of San Rafael, and two brothers, Thomas Lenci of Pacifica and Victor Lenci of Sonoma. He also leaves three grandchildren.
Recitation of the Rosary will be tonight at 8 p.m. at Williams and Heffernan Mortuary in San Rafael. Memorial contributions to a favorite charity are preferred.
