JULIE SCHAUPP
Julie Schaupp of Novato died Sunday at a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Germany, Mrs. Schaupp arrived in the United States in 1928. She lived most of her life in New Jersey where her husband, Martin C. Schaupp, was a machinist. He died in 1974.
She came to Novato a few weeks ago to live with her son, Gerhardt Schaupp, a Navy man residing with his family on Hamilton Air Force Base.
She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ridgefield, N.J., and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ridgefield Fire Department.
Surviving are her son; two sisters, Frieda Baumgartner and Lydia Gaisser, both of Germany, and four grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Thursday at the Blackley Funeral Home in Ridgefield, N.J., followed by burial at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, N.J.
