Wife Succumbs After Nursing Husband
Rising from a sick bed to nurse her husband who had been taken ill in San Francisco, Mrs. Sarah T. Scanlan, of Corte Madera, remained two days with Michael Scanlon and then suffered a relapse from which she passed away at her home Wednesday.
Her husband is still confined to his bed in San Francisco and is reported to be in a serious condition. The deceased is survived by a daughter, Ella. She was 41 years of age and a native of Virginia.
The funeral will be held Saturday from the parlors of the F. E. Sawyer Company, and a requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s church. Burial will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery, San Rafael.

Mrs. M. Scanlon passed away on Wednesday from pneumonia. Mr. Scanlon is quite ill at the home of his sister in San Francisco. Mrs. Scanlon was beloved by all who knew her and her death comes as a great shock to all. She leaves a little daughter motherless and her husband, as well as two brothers and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reedy of Sacramento, to mourn her loss.
